What if being a Christian means no longer being religious?

What if conversion to Christianity means stepping out of religion?

What if Christianity is the end of religion?

Christianity is not “the way.”  Jesus is the way.

It’s not about religion.  It’s about relationship.  Relationship with God and with others.  A relationship of love.

Don’t get me wrong.  I love religion.  Always have and always will.  There is beauty in it.  I’ve been nurtured by it, through it and in it.  And I’ve been in the religious business all my life.  But there’s something deeper, bigger, better than religion that I hunger for and that I think a lot of people are yearning for these days. And in part it may be why so many are leaving the church and never coming back.

Very simply, I think it’s about rediscovering the way of Jesus and coming to a deeper faith that is:  biblically responsible, Intellectually honest, emotionally satisfying, socially engaging and spiritually transformational.  That’s what I want.  That’s what I’m reading about.  That’s what I’m meditating on.  That’s what fills my soul with passion and fire.  And that’s what I’m going to try to create in order to help others to find it also.  I hope you might join me on the journey.

Christianity is not a religion
