On Halloween, All Saints Day, Day of the Dead etc. many people reflect on death… so it’s a great time to host a Death Cafe.

Death Cafe is an International organization and here is how they put it:  “At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.  Our objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.”   A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Come and share your thoughts and feelings about death and be a part of the 2nd Death Cafe Gathering in Monticello!

Facilitator:  Bill Johnson:  Pastor, Counselor, Chaplain  (Note:  This is not a religious gathering.  All are welcome regardless of religious or non-religious affiliation.)
